Bounce It is a hip-hop song by Juicy J featuring Wale and Trey Songz. It was released on June 25, 2013 as the fourth single from Juicy J’s album Stay Trippy (2013).
The track runs 4:22 and was written by Juicy J (Jordan Houston), Wale (Olubowale Akintimehin), Trey Songz, Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald), Cirkut (Henry Walter), Baby E (Ethan Lowery), and Jacob Kasher Hindlin. It was produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut, and Baby E, and released through Taylor Gang, Kemosabe, and Columbia Records.
Bounce It reached number 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. The music video, directed by Benny Boom, was filmed on July 2, 2013 and premiered July 18 on BET’s 106 & Park. Wiz Khalifa makes a cameo in the video.
The official remix features Wiz Khalifa plus new verses by Juicy J and Trey Songz, with extra instrumentation. It was released November 20, 2013 on Juicy J’s SoundCloud. A second remix version, Remix 2.0, with a new club beat, was released the same day; this version originally included a Big Sean verse but was replaced by Wiz Khalifa’s verse. Remix 2.0 was released October 29, 2013 on Dr. Luke’s SoundCloud.
Bounce It spent 19 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and 14 weeks on Rhythmic radio, peaking at 74 and 22 respectively.
