Bill Cleary (Irish footballer)

Bill Cleary was an Irish footballer who played in the League of Ireland during the 1920s and 1930s. He was a centre forward for Bohemians, who were an amateur club at the time. In 1930 he scored six goals in an FAI Cup match against Bray Unknowns. His best season was 1930/31, when he scored 20 goals in all competitions. Cleary is second on Bohemians’ all-time FAI Cup goalscorers list, with 15 goals.
