Big Rainbow
Big Rainbow is an heirloom tomato variety. It produces large, yellow fruit with red swirls and has a mild, sweet flavor. It’s similar in color to the Hillbilly tomato.
Growing: Big Rainbow tomatoes need warm weather and do not tolerate cold. They are best grown in the last month of summer.
History: The variety was first introduced in 1983 by Dorothy Beiswenger of Crookston, Minnesota, through Seed Savers Exchange. It was released commercially in 1990.
