Josip Keran (born March 25, 1985) is a Croatian former footballer who played as a defender. He came through the youth ranks at NK Split and began his senior career with Dugopolje, helping them win promotion to the Croatian second division in 2010–11 and making a couple of appearances that season. In 2011 he moved to Canada to play for Toronto Croatia in the Canadian Soccer League. He helped the Croats win multiple titles, including the CSL Championship in his first season and the First Division title in 2012, and he served as captain in 2015. Keran was named the league Defender of the Year in 2014 and the MVP in 2015 after scoring 10 goals that season and guiding the team to another playoff title. He also played in the U.S. Open Cup in 2014 with RWB Adria, reaching the third round. After leaving Toronto Croatia, he had stints with Hamilton City (2016) and SC Waterloo Region (2017). He later played indoors for Croatia AC (2017–18) and Mississauga MetroStars (2018–19), recording 18 appearances and 6 goals, and finished his career with CSC Mississauga in 2019. Keran also competed in the Croatian World Club Championship in 2015 and 2019.
