2011 World Judo Open Championships

The 2011 World Judo Open Championships were held at the Judo Centre in Tyumen, Russia, on 29–30 October. The event featured 49 competitors from 22 nations and offered a total prize money of $158,000. The Ippon awards went to Japan’s Keiji Suzuki and Megumi Tachimoto for their spectacular techniques. In addition, $5,000 special prizes were awarded for the best technique, one for a man and one for a woman.
