Belize Inlet
Belize Inlet
Belize Inlet is an inlet on the Central Coast of British Columbia, Canada. It lies north of Seymour Inlet and opens to the Pacific Ocean.
The boundary between Belize Inlet and Seymour Inlet is defined by lines described in hydrographic records: a line from Johnson Point toward a point near 51°06′51″N, 127°30′00″W, and a southwest end defined by a line west from Mignon Point.
Belize Inlet was named in April 1865 by Captain Pender of the Beaver, in association with Seymour Inlet. Belize refers to the capital city of the former British colony British Honduras (now Belize), whose governor later served as governor of British Columbia.
