Barmas is a locality in Gilgit District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is one of the area’s oldest settlements. The neighborhood is divided into two parts: Barmas Pain (Lower Barmas) and Barmas Bala (Upper Barmas). Barmas Gah is a stream that originates from Khur, a Shina word meaning "source of fresh water," and it provides water to Gilgit and nearby communities.
