Balitora annamitica is a small hill-stream fish from the Mekong River Basin, found in Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and possibly Vietnam. Described by Kottelat in 1988, it may actually be more than one species. It grows up to about 12 cm long and lives in fast-flowing rapids and river sections. It is locally common and is caught in subsistence fisheries. The IUCN lists it as Least Concern.
