Badesalz was a German comedy duo from Hesse. They started in 1982 as Badesalz Theater, with Hendrik "Henni" Nachtsheim and Gerd Knebel. They spoke in the Hessian dialect in their sketches. Nachtsheim played saxophone in the rock band Rodgau Monotones, and Knebel sang with Flatsch. They appeared on German TV, including Och Joh on ARD, Comedy Stories on Sat.1, and their own Badesalz show on Comedy Central. They released several albums, made a few films, and wrote a book. Knebel died on January 24, 2026.
