BK Jelgava
BK Jelgava is a semi-professional basketball club from Jelgava, Latvia. They compete in the Latvian National Basketball League (NBL), Latvia’s second-tier league below the Latvian Basketball League (LBL). Founded in 2011 and funded by the city of Jelgava, the team plays its home games at the Zemgale Olympic Center and wears white and blue. The club is led by President Dins Ušvils and head coach Česlavs Mateikovičs. BK Jelgava has won the league championships in 2022, 2024 and 2025. The club was created after BK Zemgale faced financial problems at the end of the 2010–11 season, when Jelgava took their place in the top league. Website bkjelgava.lv.
