BFBS 4
BFBS 4 was a British TV channel run by the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS). It launched on 2 May 2009 and closed on 27 March 2013. The channel showed two movies a day, repeated up to six times to fit different time zones, and it live-relayed selected CBeebies and CBBC programmes. It replaced Sky News in BFBS’s satellite and digital terrestrial slots. After it closed, BFBS planned extra entertainment channels for Op Herrick and said the move was due to the movies on relays of BBC One, BBC Two and ITV, as well as the new BFBS Extra channel. Today, BFBS provides a composite feed of Sky Cinema.
