Aydıncık Islands, also known as the Gilindire Islands, are two small islands in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Aydıncık district in Mersin Province, Turkey. The area’s old name Gilindire comes from the ancient Roman port Kelenderis, which is now Aydıncık.

The islands lie about 2 kilometers from the town center. The nearest point on the mainland is a rock cape to the east, about 600 meters away. The larger island is roughly 250 meters long, and the smaller about 100 meters. The two islands are about 50 meters apart from each other.

Both islands are uninhabited and serve as a breeding ground for Audouin’s gull. British admiral Francis Beaufort noted that no ancient geographer mentioned these islands.
