Aubrey Kuruppu

Aubrey Kuruppu (11 March 1945 – 11 October 2019) was a Sri Lankan cricketer who played two first-class matches in 1972 and 1973. He was a left-handed batsman who scored 91 runs in those games, with a top score of 31. He was born in Dehiwela, Colombo, Ceylon, and died in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Kuruppu studied at S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia, where he played for the school’s First XI and took part in the Royal–Thomian match in 1965.

After his playing days, he stayed involved in cricket as secretary of the Kandy District Cricket Association, a five-year member of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board’s tour organizing committee, and a coach at Vidyartha College and Sri Rahula College in Kandy. He also served as a match referee.
