Associação Académica de Coimbra (rugby union)
Associação Académica de Coimbra Rugby is a leading Portuguese rugby union team from Coimbra. Founded in 1936, it is part of the Associação Académica de Coimbra sports club and plays in Portugal’s top rugby league, the Campeonato Português de Rugby. Home games are held at Estádio Municipal Sérgio Conceição, with a capacity of about 2,500. The club is chaired by Joaquim Neto Murta and coached by Rui Rodrigues. It is one of the top eight rugby clubs in Portugal. The team has won the Portuguese Championship in 1977, 1979, 1997 and 2004, and the Portuguese Rugby Cup in 1974, 1980, 1990, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 2018. Official website: rugbyaac.com
