Army Brats (Dutch: Schatjes), also known as Darlings, is a 1984 Dutch comedy film directed by Ruud van Hemert. It’s a dark comedy about a family whose overbearing parents clash with their disruptive children, leading to chaos. The cast includes Peter Faber, Geert de Jong, Akkemay Elderenbos, and Erik Koningsberger.

The movie was very popular in the Netherlands, drawing about 1 million visitors and becoming one of the country’s most successful films. It was the Netherlands’ entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 57th Academy Awards, but it did not receive a nomination. A sequel, Mama is Boos!, followed in 1986. In 2022, Erik Koningsberger said he did not know the actress in a controversial shower scene was only 14 at the time. The film is in Dutch, runs 101 minutes, and was released on February 8, 1984.
