Ardenais is a small commune in central France, in the Cher department of the Centre-Val de Loire region. It sits on the left bank of the Arnon river, about 53 km south of Bourges. The area covers 117.55 sq km. As of 2023, about 205 people live there (roughly 11.7 per sq km). The elevation ranges from 188 to 262 meters above sea level. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Gilles Hérault. The commune uses CET (UTC+1) and CEST in summer. Postal codes are 18010 and 18170.
