Richard Møller Nielsen (19 August 1937 – 13 February 2014) was a Danish football player and manager. He was born in Store Ubberud, Odense, Denmark, and played as a defender for Odense BK, earning two caps for Denmark before an injury ended his playing career.

He was named World Soccer’s World Manager of the Year for 1992.
In 1995 he led Denmark to victory in the FIFA Confederations Cup, defeating Argentina 2–0 in the final. He later coached Finland (1996–1999) and Israel (2000–2002), and finished his career with Danish club Kolding FC, retiring in 2003.
Nielsen was the father of Tommy Møller Nielsen. Odense BK honored him with a stand named after him at Odense Stadion, and the city of Odense has a square dedicated to him.
He died in 2014 after brain tumor surgery in 2013, and was survived by his wife, three children and six grandchildren.
