Annemarie Eilfeld
Annemarie Eilfeld, who also goes by Annemie, is a German singer and songwriter born on 2 May 1990 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. She became famous after reaching the top three on Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS), the German version of Idols, in 2009. Her family later moved to Dessau-Roßlau. She started music and dance lessons at age seven and competed in local song contests.
In 2004 she took part in Star Search 2 and made the finals. After that, she released her first single, "C the Light," under the name Anne Marie on Edel Music. From 2005 to 2008 she performed with local bands. During DSDS she gained a lot of media attention, and after the show she had to take a three-month break from releasing new music because of contractual obligations.
Since 2009 she has made guest appearances on the popular German soap Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten. She also started a band called LaMie in 2008 and toured Germany. On 1 September 2009 she signed with X-Cell Records and received management from Artist Advice. On 14 May 2010 she released the single "Animal Instinct" under the stage name Annemie, with a video that premiered on VIVA NEU and YouTube.
