Angles-sur-l'Anglin
Angles-sur-l'Anglin is a small commune in western France, in the Vienne department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It covers about 115 square kilometers and has around 370 residents (2023), giving it a low population density.
The town is known for the Château d'Angles-sur-l'Anglin, a ruined castle from the 11th century that was originally built for the Bishop of Poitiers.
The Anglin river flows through the area and joins the Gartempe in the commune. Angles-sur-l'Anglin is listed as one of The Most Beautiful Villages of France, a designation given to particularly pretty places.
