Angel Medina (wrestler)
Angel Medina (born February 28, 1972) is an American professional wrestler best known as Angel. He grew up in New York City and moved to Puerto Rico early in life. He started training as a wrestler at 17 under Johnny Rodz and debuted in 1996. He wrestled in Mexico and Japan before joining Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1999.
In ECW, he performed as Angel and formed the group Da Baldies with Vito LoGrasso, Tony DeVito, Vic Grimes, P. N. News, and Redd Dogg. Da Baldies feuded with New Jack, and Angel defeated New Jack at Guilty As Charged 2000 to declare himself the King of the Streets, though New Jack won the title back later that year. He also had feuds with Chris Chetti, Nova, Balls Mahoney, and Chilly Willy. ECW went bankrupt in 2001.
After ECW, Angel wrestled in Puerto Rico for the IWA as "NY Rican Baldie" or "The New Yorican Baldie," winning the IWA Hardcore Championship seven times in 2001.
He semi-retired in the early 2000s and became a police officer in Wichita, Kansas. He later returned to wrestling in 2017–2018 with Kansas City Xtreme Wrestling.
Recent matches include a win on June 29, 2024, for Great North Wrestling in Napanee, Ontario, defeating Big Daddy D-Roy. On May 3, 2025, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, he defeated Super Crazy at a Tri-State Wrestling Alliance show, with Jack Kilby of Cheap Heat Productions as promoter and manager.
