Andy Aitken (footballer, born 1919)
Andrew Irving Aitken (15 October 1919 – 8 June 2000) was a Scottish amateur footballer who played as an inside right. He spent most of his career with Queen's Park in the Scottish League, making more than 170 appearances for the club. He also played for Shawfield, Third Lanark and Hamilton Academical. For Queen's Park, he made 56 league appearances and scored 26 goals from 1946 to 1949. Aitken represented Great Britain at the 1948 Summer Olympics, playing one match and scoring one goal. Before and during World War II, he worked for David Colville & Sons in Motherwell. He was born in Cathcart, Scotland, and died in Glasgow, Scotland, at the age of 80.
