Andrew Marwede
Andrew Marwede (born 1996) is an American disc golfer from Alpena, Michigan. He competes on the PDGA National Tour and the Disc Golf Pro Tour. He joined the PDGA in 2015 and turned pro in 2016. He won his first PDGA A-Tier in 2018 at the Hickory Hills Open and was the 2020 Michigan State Disc Golf Champion. He has won 45 tournaments and earned $66,165. As of August 2021, he was ranked 11th in UDisc's Disc Golf World Rankings. After a strong 2021 season, he appeared on the summer 2021 cover of the PDGA's DiscGolfer Magazine. Before disc golf, he played college basketball for two seasons at Alpena Community College as a forward and guard. In 2015, in 25 games, he averaged 14.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and shot 81.9% from the free throw line. He transferred to Western Michigan University, where he graduated. During the disc golf off-season, he worked as an assistant basketball coach at Alpena Community College. He is a member of Team DGA and is sponsored by Great Lakes Disc, Squatch, Mitten Bags, and C1 Disc.
