André de Wet
André Eloff de Wet (born 1 August 1946) is a former South African rugby union player. He was born in Kokstad, grew up at Selborne College, and studied at Stellenbosch University, where he played rugby and earned a spot in the Southern Universities XV. De Wet played as a lock, standing 1.95 m tall and weighing about 101 kg. He began his provincial career with Western Province in 1967 and later played for Border. Internationally, he earned three caps for South Africa in 1969, all in tests against the Wallabies, scoring no points. He added one more Springbok Test during the 1969–70 tour against England at Twickenham. After rugby, he served in the House of Assembly and the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.
