Alan Harding Lendon

Alan Harding Lendon (1903–1973) was a South Australian surgeon, aviculturist and amateur ornithologist. He was a member of the Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union (RAOU) and served as its president from 1966 to 1967. Lendon was also closely involved with the South Australian Ornithological Association (SAOA). In 1960, a disagreement about how to handle the live bird export trade led him to form the breakaway Adelaide Ornithologists Club.
