Air Mobility Group RAAF
Air Mobility Group (AMG) is one of the six force element groups of the Royal Australian Air Force. It handles airlift—moving people and cargo by air—and air-to-air refuelling, enabling planes to fly longer distances. AMG is based at RAAF Base Richmond in New South Wales and is part of Air Command. The group operates the C-130J Hercules transport aircraft with No. 37 Squadron. Its motto is "Mobility and reach." AMG has been active since February 1987, when it was formed as Air Lift Group, and it was renamed Air Mobility Group on 1 April 2014.
