Aatank, meaning Terror, is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language action thriller directed by Prem Lalwani and Desh Mukherjee, written by Sachin Bhowmick. It stars Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Vinod Mehra, and Ravi Kishen. The film runs 113 minutes and features music by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. It began filming in the mid-1980s but was released on 9 February 1996.

The story follows Jesu and Peter, childhood friends in a coastal fishing village oppressed by a powerful gangster named Alphonso. Jesu is an orphan, while Peter is raised by his aunt and uncle. Phillip discovers black pearls off the coast, drawing Alphonso’s greed and threatening the community. Peter marries Suzy D'Silva, who then disappears during a swim, and severed body parts are found as a gigantic man-eating shark menaces the village. The movie includes a sub-plot about the killer shark, which some say was inspired by the 1975 film Jaws. Lyrics for the songs are by Dev Kohli and Rani Malik.
