2024–25 Brown Bears men's ice hockey season
The 2024–25 Brown Bears men's ice hockey season was Brown University's 107th season and 63rd in ECAC Hockey. They played home games at Meehan Auditorium and were led by head coach Brendan Whittet in his 15th season. The team captains were Tony Andreozzi and Max Scott, with Brett Bliss and Alex Pineau serving as alternate captains.
Season highlights
- Overall record: 14–15–3; ECAC record: 9–11–2
- Home record: 8–6–3; Road record: 6–9–0
- They finished 8th in the ECAC, earning their first postseason home game in six years.
- Offense improved from the previous year, scoring about one extra goal per two games; defense also improved, with Lawton Zacher showing strong play in his sophomore year.
- The Bears were fairly even in results, alternating wins and losses most of the year. They started January with five straight losses but then rattled off a 5-game winning streak. Across the season, they scored 75 goals and allowed 75.
Postseason
- First round: Brown defeated Princeton, aided by Ryan St. Louis’s three-point performance, advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2019.
- Quarterfinals: They faced league champion Quinnipiac and were shut out for most of the series, scoring only one goal in 6-on-4 situations over two games. Brown lost the series and finished below .500, but still posted its best result in six years.
