Nicaise et Delcuve
Nicaise et Delcuve was a Belgian metal engineering company based in La Louvière. It began in 1855 as Parmentier, Nicaise et Cie., bringing together several workshops in the Hainaut region, including a locomotive builder from Haine-Saint-Pierre. In 1867 the partnership Nicaise et Delcuve was formed with a capital of 2.5 million francs from Parmentier, Nicaise et Cie. In 1908 it was absorbed into Ateliers de Construction du Nord de la France, and both were part of the holding group Trust Métallurgique Belge-Français, creating Ateliers du Nord de la France et Nicaise et Delcuve. In 1913 the group reorganised and split French and Belgian operations; the Nicaise et Delcuve factories joined with the La Brugeoise factories to form La Brugeoise et Nicaise et Delcuve.
