2024 Broxbourne Borough Council election
The 2024 Broxbourne Borough Council election was held on 2 May 2024 to elect ten of the council’s 30 seats in Hertfordshire. The Conservatives held 27 of the 30 seats before the election, with Labour holding the Waltham Cross seat. Conservatives therefore had a guaranteed majority regardless of the result. Turnout was 18,633 votes (25.93%).
Result summary:
- No seats changed hands. The Conservatives won all the contested seats except Waltham Cross, which Labour kept.
- The council remained under Conservative majority control.
- Before the election, the council leader was Lewis Cocking (Conservative). He did not stand for re-election.
- After the election, Mark Mills-Bishop (Conservative) was chosen as the new leader and was formally appointed leader of the council on 14 May 2024.
