The 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship would have been the 14th World Bowls Championship. It was to be held on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, at Broadbeach Bowls Club, Musgrave Hill Bowls Club, and Club Helensvale. Eight events would decide the 2021 world champions — men's singles, doubles, triples and fours, and women's singles, doubles, triples and fours — with two overall team trophies, the Leonard and Taylor trophies.

It was originally scheduled for May 23 to June 7, 2020 but was cancelled on March 9, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the outbreak began, World Bowls and Bowls Australia postponed the event on March 17, 2020, and dates were moved several times. In the end, the championships were cancelled and will now be held every two years from 2023. Qualifying events were ended, including the Atlantic Bowls Championships and Asia Pacific Bowls Championships. About 36 nations/associations were due to compete in 2021.
