2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup
The 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup was an under-18 ice hockey tournament held from August 5 to 10, 2019 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Two host cities were Piešťany (Slovakia) and Břeclav (Czech Republic), with games at Easton Arena in Piešťany and Alcaplast Arena in Břeclav. Eight teams competed.
Russia won the gold medal, defeating Canada 3-2 in the final for their fourth title. Canada finished second, Sweden took third place, and Finland finished fourth.
Canada won Group A and Russia won Group B. In the semifinals (August 9), Canada faced Sweden and Russia faced Finland, with the medal games held on August 10. All times were in Central European Summer Time (UTC+2).
There were 18 games in total, 116 goals scored, and attendance of 14,460 (about 803 per game). The scoring leader was Cole Perfetti with 12 points.
