2012 Oddset Hockey Games

The 2012 Oddset Hockey Games were held from February 9–12, 2012. Four teams – the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, and Russia – played in a round-robin format, with each team completing three games for a total of six games in the tournament. Five games were played in Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe, and one game took place in Helsinki at the Olympic Stadium.

Sweden won the tournament, claiming their second straight title by beating Finland 3–1 on the final day. This event was part of the 2011–12 Euro Hockey Tour. The tournament had 25 goals in six games (about 4.17 goals per game) and total attendance of 55,398 (roughly 9,233 per game). The scoring leader was Janne Pesonen with three points.

Background: the event had previously been known as the LG Hockey Games, but the sponsor LG Electronics dropped out and Oddset, a Svenska Spel gambling game, took over the naming.
