2006 U.S. Figure Skating Championships
The 2006 U.S. Figure Skating Championships were held January 7–15, 2006 at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Skaters competed in four events—men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing—across senior, junior, and novice levels. Medals were awarded as gold for first, silver for second, bronze for third, and pewter for fourth. The champions were Johnny Weir (men's singles), Sasha Cohen (ladies' singles), Rena Inoue / John Baldwin (pairs), and Tanith Belbin / Benjamin Agosto (ice dance). This event helped select the U.S. teams for the 2006 Winter Olympics and other major competitions (World Championships, Four Continents, World Junior Championships).
