The 1995–96 Irani Cup was a first-class cricket match played from 1 to 3 October 1995 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Ranji Trophy champions Bombay defeated Rest of India by 9 wickets to retain the Irani Cup.
Match summary
- Rest of India won the toss and batted first, being bowled out for 99 in 41.1 overs. Nayan Mongia was the top scorer with 23, and Paras Mhambrey took 5 for 20 for Bombay.
- Bombay replied with 266 all out in 79.3 overs, with Vinod Kambli scoring 112. Paras Mhambrey contributed with his 5-wicket haul in the first innings for Rest of India, while Venkatesh Prasad took 4/75 for Rest of India.
- Rest of India followed on in their second innings and were dismissed for 186 in 78.5 overs. Surendra Bhave made 44, and Paras Mhambrey took 3/35.
