The 1994 Goodwrench 500 was the second race of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series season. It was held on February 27, 1994, at North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina. The track is 1.017 miles long and the race ran 492 laps, totaling 500.364 miles, with an average speed of 125.239 mph. About 45,000 people attended.
Rusty Wallace, driving car No. 2 for Penske Racing South, dominated the race and won, his 32nd career Cup Series victory and first of the season. He led 347 laps. Sterling Marlin finished second for Morgan–McClure Motorsports, and Rick Mast finished third for Precision Products Racing.
Qualifying was in two rounds. Geoff Bodine won the pole with a 24.132-second lap (151.716 mph) in the first round, driving for Geoff Bodine Racing. Seven drivers failed to qualify. The two-round format allowed others to improve their times in round two on Saturday.
North Carolina Speedway opened in 1965 and was rebuilt in 1969 into its current high-banked oval configuration.
