The 1983 UTEP Miners football team represented the University of Texas at El Paso in the Western Athletic Conference during the 1983 NCAA Division I-A football season. In Bill Yung's second year as head coach, the Miners finished with a 2–10 record, 0–8 in conference play. The offense, coordinated by Hal Mumme in his second year, used a spread scheme.
