Alzain Tareq
Alzain Tareq, born on April 14, 2005, is a swimmer from Bahrain. In 2015, at just 10 years old, she became the youngest athlete to compete at the World Aquatics Championships. She later set Bahrain’s best time in the 50-meter butterfly at the World Cup in Kazan, beating many older swimmers. Her eligibility to compete came because FINA does not set a universal minimum age; each country’s federation can make its own rules. For example, LEN requires swimmers to be at least 14. Alzain is the daughter of Tareq Salem Juma, a Bahraini professional swimmer.
