1976 US Open – Mixed doubles

At the 1976 US Open, the mixed doubles champions were Phil Dent and Billie Jean King. They defeated Frew McMillan and Betty Stöve in the final, 3–6, 6–2, 7–5. Dent and King won the last two sets after losing the first, and they saved two match points at 4-5, 15-40 in the final set. The defending champions, Dick Stockton and Rosemary Casals, reached the semifinals but lost to Dent and King. The winning team earned $6,500.
