1973 Colchester Borough Council election

The 1973 Colchester Borough Council election was the first for the newly created Colchester Borough Council. It was held on 7 June 1973, the same day as other local elections. Under the Local Government Act 1972, the elected council was to shadow the old council and take over on 1 April 1974.
