1892 Nebraska gubernatorial election
The 1892 Nebraska gubernatorial election was held on November 8, 1892. Incumbent Democratic Governor James E. Boyd did not seek re-election. Republican Lorenzo Crounse won the governorship, defeating Democrat J. Sterling Morton and Populist Charles Van Wyck. Crounse received 78,426 votes (39.7%), Morton 68,617 votes (34.7%), and Van Wyck 44,196 votes (22.4%). Before the election, James E. Boyd was governor; after the election, Lorenzo Crounse became governor.
