Çığır is a village in the İdil District of Şırnak Province, Turkey. It is known in Kurdish as Serkanî and in Syriac as Serkani. The village is mainly inhabited by Kurds from the Botikan tribe and had a population of 1,878 in 2021. The hamlet of Gültepe is attached to Çığır. Historically, the settlement was called Serkani and was inhabited by Syriac Orthodox Christians; in 1914 there were about 200 Syriac residents, according to a list presented to the Paris Peace Conference.
