Zygmunt Krasiński Street is a short street in Bydgoszcz’s downtown. It runs east–west, about 300 meters long. The street starts at Gdańska Street in the west, continues from Śniadecki Street, and ends at Leszek the White Square in the east, crossing Gimnazjalna and Libelta along the way.

The current name honors Zygmunt Krasiński (1812–1859), a Polish Romantic poet who helped shape Polish national consciousness during the period of partitions. In the past, the street was known by the German name Fröhnerstraße.

History in brief: the street does not appear on maps before the late 19th century. A 1876 map shows the area near today’s No. 10. By 1900 it is shown as Fröhnerstraße, running from Danzigerstraße to Hempelstraße, with a single building noted at No. 10 (a house for blind children). In 1908 a physical education hall is marked at No. 7. Over time, the area developed with various buildings reflecting the architectural styles of the era.

Today, Zygmunt Krasiński Street sits in Bydgoszcz’s historic downtown, embodying the city’s layered German and Polish heritage.
