Yuri Gurski
Yuri Gurski is a Belarusian IT entrepreneur known for co-founding Flo.Health and leading Palta.com (formerly Haxus), the health-tech company behind the Flo and Lensa apps. He was born on January 23, 1983, in Minsk, Belarus, and studied journalism at Belarusian State University, later earning an Executive MBA from IPM Kozminski University in Poland. He has a twin brother, Dmitry, who is the CEO of Flo.
Gurski has built several startups that were acquired by major tech companies. He helped grow Maps.me into a large offline map app, which was acquired by Mail.ru Group in 2014, and mentored MSQRD, which Facebook bought in 2016. He previously led Viaden Mobile and Sport.com, and worked in various roles at Mail.ru Group until 2016.
In 2015 he co-founded Palta, a health-tech company whose flagship products are Flo and Lensa. Palta has grown to employ hundreds of people with offices in several European cities and has attracted significant investment. In 2018 Palta was valued around $200 million, and in 2021 it raised $100 million in a Series B round led by VNV Global. By 2021 Palta reported more than 2.4 million active Flo subscribers.
Gurski, who moved with his family to Limassol, Cyprus in 2016, is a vegetarian. He has been married and is now divorced. In 2016 GoalEurope named him the most successful IT entrepreneur in Eastern Europe. He has also been involved in various projects, including AIMATTER, which Google acquired in 2017.
