You're Always Here is a song by Ashley Tisdale, released as a self‑released digital single on December 16, 2013. It was written by Tisdale and her fiancé Christopher French, who also produced the track. This song marks Tisdale’s return to music after her 2009 album Guilty Pleasure. It’s a mid‑tempo pop ballad about finding strength after a loss, inspired by Tisdale’s grandfather who died in September 2013. The song features piano, organ and a light, blippy beat, and 30% of the proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It premiered on On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

Background: Guilty Pleasure (2009) came out on Warner Bros. and received mixed reviews, debuting at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 with about 25,000 copies sold in its first week. After that album, Tisdale left Warner Bros. to focus on acting and producing. She began recording new music again in 2012 while promoting Scary Movie 5. She got engaged to Christopher French in August 2013 and they started working on her next album. In November 2013 she teased a Christmas‑time project, and on December 9 announced a new song titled “You’re Always Here.” The single was released December 16, 2013 as an independent release. A reviewer gave it 3/5 stars, calling it bittersweet and praising Tisdale’s vocals and lyrics, while noting its reimagining of Imagine Dragons’ “Demons.”
