Yoa, born Yoanna Bolzli on December 24, 1998, in Paris, is a French-Swiss singer-songwriter and actress. She started in theater before turning to music. Her first EP, Attentes, was released on October 22, 2021. She followed with the EP Chansons tristes on November 25, 2022, which had a three-track reissue on July 15, 2023. Her EP Nulle came out on June 14, 2024. Her debut studio album, La Favorite, was released on January 31, 2025. At the 40th Victoires de la Musique in 2025, she won the Breakthrough Live Performance award.

Yoa grew up with a Swiss father and a Cameroonian mother. She began playing piano at age 7 and later studied English, arts, and literature before starting her career in entertainment. She co-wrote and produced a theater play with Léa Goldstein, performed from 2020 to 2022, and signed with Panenka Music. In 2022 she was selected for Les Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges and Le Chantier des Francofolies, and she appeared on Georgio’s album Années sauvages.

In 2024 she released the single Matcha Queen, and then the EP Nulle in June 2024. Her first album, La Favorite, has 15 tracks. After touring and an Olympia show on April 15, 2025, she planned performances at Salle Pleyel in Paris on January 29–30, 2026. On July 15, 2025, she canceled her Francofolies de Spa performance due to concerns about sharing a bill with Amir over his stance on Palestine; Amir’s label Parlophone (Warner) condemned what they called antisemitic hate speech.
