Xiang Xuelong (born December 1963) is a Chinese politician who serves as chairman and Party Secretary of the Wuxi Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He was born in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province. He began working in June 1984 and joined the Communist Party that year. He studied economics at Hohai University and earned a bachelor’s degree by correspondence from the Jiangsu Provincial Party School.

Xiang started his political career in 1983 as Secretary of the Communist Youth League in Yunting Township, Jiangyin County, and later held several township and city roles in Jiangyin. These included Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Changzhou, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Changshu People’s Congress, and Party Secretary of Qingyang Town. In 2001 he became Vice Mayor of Jiangyin and also served as Party Secretary and Mayor of Qingyang. In 2002 he was Deputy Party Secretary of Jiangyin, then moved to Xinjiang as Party Secretary of Huocheng County.

In 2005 he joined the Wuxi High-Tech Industrial Development Zone as Deputy Party Secretary and deputy director of its Administrative Committee. He later served as Party Secretary of Lishui District in Nanjing and Chairman of its County People’s Congress. In 2011 he joined the Nanjing Municipal Committee as a Standing Committee Member and head of the United Front Work Department, then became Secretary-General of the Nanjing Party Committee.

In 2015 he became Deputy Party Secretary and Acting Mayor of Lianyungang, was elected Mayor in 2016, and became Party Secretary of Lianyungang in 2018. He also served as Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Lianyungang Municipal People’s Congress from 2019 to 2021. Since July 2021 he has been Party Secretary of the Wuxi CPPCC, and in March 2022 he was named Chairman of the CPPCC Wuxi Municipal Committee. He is a delegate to the 13th National People’s Congress and has held other provincial-level roles in Jiangsu.
