Jeremy Affeldt is a former American Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 2002 to 2015. A left-handed thrower and batter, he was born on June 6, 1979, in Phoenix, Arizona. Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the third round of 1997, he made his MLB debut with Kansas City in 2002 and later played for the Colorado Rockies, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants.

Affeldt became a trusted left-handed reliever for the Giants and helped them win three World Series titles in 2010, 2012, and 2014. He finished his career with a 43–46 record, 720 strikeouts, and a 3.97 ERA, and he is honored on the San Francisco Giants Wall of Fame.

After retiring following the 2015 season, Affeldt worked as a broadcaster for Giants game coverage and served as a Giants community ambassador. He is known for his humanitarian work, including support for Not For Sale and Generation Alive, and for writing about his faith and advocacy. He and his wife Candace live in Boerne, Texas, where he runs Free Roam Brewing Company.

Affeldt grew up in several places because his father was in the U.S. Air Force, and he developed a strong Christian faith that shaped his charitable efforts throughout his career and beyond.
