Welshpool Road in Perth, Western Australia, is a major road about 15 km long. It’s now split into two parts after Roe Highway was extended, but it remains an important route for the area and a key access road to the Darling Scarp.

Welshpool Road West
- Length: about 5.5 km
- Route: Starts as an extension of Albany Highway, meets Leach Highway and Kewdale Road, then McDowell Street, and ends where the road becomes William Street
- Characteristics: Mostly four-lane road, few traffic lights, heavy traffic at peak times, runs through industrial areas with many minor roads without full traffic controls
- Important junctions: Albany Highway, Leach Highway, Kewdale Road, McDowell Street

Welshpool Road East
- Length: about 9.5 km
- Route: Starts where Orrong Road continues as Welshpool Road East, passes Roe Highway and Hale Road, goes through Wattle Grove, then meets Tonkin Highway and climbs the Darling Scarp, ending at Canning Road in Carmel
- Characteristics: Four-lane dual carriageway at first, then narrows to two or three lanes as it climbs the scarp; only about four traffic lights (two at Roe Highway)
- Special features: After climbing, the road becomes a two-lane single carriageway with two westbound overtaking lanes for about 750 m
- Endpoints: Begins near Orrong Road and ends at Canning Road

Key changes from Roe Highway extension (2002)
- Roe Highway was extended, which separated Welshpool Road into two sections
- Orrong Road was extended to meet Roe Highway at a diamond interchange
- Orrong Road now continues as Welshpool Road East
- Welshpool Road West continues as William Street

Rail crossing update
- Until 2024, Welshpool Road crossed the South Western Railway at ground level
- A bridge was built to carry the railway over the road as part of the level crossing removal project
