Walter Lapage
Walter Neville Lapage (5 February 1883 – 17 May 1939) was an English rugby union player who earned four England caps in 1908. Born in Nantwich, he attended the Naval College after school and played rugby as a three-quarter for the Royal Navy and United Services. He scored tries in his first two England matches, starting at centre before moving to the wing when Henry Vassall joined the side. Lapage also had a notable naval career, serving on HMS Tiger at the Battle of Jutland and later commanding HMS Hood, which was then the largest warship in the world. He died in New Forest, England, aged 56.
