Wakwella Bridge is a steel bridge in the Galle District near Thelikada, Sri Lanka. It crosses the Gin River and is about 152.5 meters (500 feet) long. Built on the Gin Ganga Dam, it connects the villages of Kudagoda and Gonapura. The bridge opened in 1999 and was the longest bridge in Sri Lanka at that time. It carries vehicles and pedestrians. As the nearby population has grown, the bridge now handles more traffic than it was designed for.
